Private detective Simic has been hired to investigate the case of a group of parents haunted by the disappearance of their newborn babies in the 1980s.

At the time, the hospital authorities told parents their babies had died and organized the burials without showing the parents the bodies. Later, no trace of the allegedly dead and buried newborns could be found in the cemeteries, and decades later the parents still have no way of knowing what happened to their children. Witnesses of the past remain silent.

Simic is tasked with uncovering the truth behind this huge scandal. Based on a true story, this mini-series exposes the trauma  experienced by thousands of families. It's thought criminal organizations were involved in the trafficking of babies and may have been protected by certain members of government.
